This find is a couple of days old and after ummin’ and arrin’ over whether to publish this information or not I finally decided it was worth it just in case some of our readers hadn’t heard the news yet.

Whilst the vast majority of us 5800 users are still awaiting V31 firmware for our devices, German site biskero.org has reportedly sited a Nokia 5800 running V40 firmware on their site logs.

“Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.4; U; Series60/5.0 Nokia5800d-1/40.0.001; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413″

If you can make head or tail of the above then it seemingly states that a 5800 running firmware 40.0.001 accessed the site. This information can easily be altered and cannot be considered solid proof and is just about “rumour worthy” but lets wait and find out.
