michaeljacksonWe thought we would make a quick mention to Michael Jackson, it was his memorial service today and what a service it was. It made the world stand still for the time that it was on and made the world seem so small because we were all looking it. Rest in peace Michael Jackson.

In today’s news we have some videos to share with you, some tweets and also a roundup of todays Nokia headlines. We’ll also share some of the days most interesting posts from other blogs.

Nokia 3720 Classic Specifications

If you’ve been checking out our blog recently you would have seen the “rugged” test videos that we have been sharing. These were created by Nokia Conversations and put a new “hard” phone to the test. I mentioned that this phone would probably be perfect for my dad seeing as he has managed to near enough smash up my Nokia 6300 that I previously owned. Anyway here are the specifications for the mid-range phone:

  • S40
  • Water/dust resistant
  • Over 2.5 weeks stand by battery
  • Fm radio
  • Torch
  • 2.2 inch QVGA screen with 16 million colours
  • 25MB internal memory
  • MicroSD card slot
  • Bluetooth
  • 3.2 megapixel camera
  • Coming September

We’re keeping a close eye on this one and we will see if we can get Nokia to lend us one when it’s released.

Nokia 5530 gets FFC Approval

nokia5530xm_blue_right_leanToday, the FFC passed the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic phone which was recently annouced by Nokia. The device that has caused some controversy because of the homescreen that the Nokia 5800 is given the go ahead to be distributed.

The 5530 lacks 3G and this has put some users like myself off of going near the device. Seeing as the internet is the most used area on my phone, I think I would struggle with this. That said, the device is still very stylish and many would consider it a style upgrade from the Nokia 5800. I would certainly enjoy my Nokia 5800 a little better if that shell was sitting around it.
