Nokia N85 gets Updated to Version 30.019 (from 20.175)
For those of you that own a Nokia N85, you will be able to update your N85 now or in the very near future (carrier/product code pending). We do not have any changelog yet but we will add it when we get our hands on it.
Nokia N86 Firmware is Updated to Version 11.043
Alongside the N85, the new N86 has also received an update. This update brings improvements to the camera, updates between the phone and Ovi Store and also some bug and software changes that will make your overall experience that little bit better. After all, that’s what firmware updates are about!
As always, we recommend that you make backups of your devices and make sure they have lots of fluff surrounding them when updating. You can update the devices over-the-air or you can download Nokia’s software updater.
Users in Singapore will get the Nokia Messaging Service Cheaper now on M1
Everyone using Nokia Messaging in Singapore will be a little happier today if they are using M1. Nokia and M1 have teamed up to bring Nokia Messaging at a very reasonable price. Here’s a snippet from the press release, read the rest here.
M1 customers can, for example, sign up for the SunSurf Lite data plan at just 5.35 SGD per month, which is bundled with 20MB of free data, to enjoy Nokia Messaging with any of the designated Nokia handsets. This collaboration between Nokia and M1 will allow M1 customers to have their email pushed directly to their Nokia handsets from popular email service providers such as Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail. The service is also compatible with local Internet service providers, such as Pacific Internet, Cyberway and Qala.
