Are you getting this error when you are trying to download music via Nokia Music? Well here’s a short tutorial for people like myself who experienced a complete loss of time last night trying to sort the mess out! I’m not a fan of Nokia software at the minute as Nokia Music crashed and also failed to download anything.
My issue was that every time I tried to download a song I kept getting the screenshot above. An error message similar to “Database column out of range”. If you are a Comes with Music service owner then fixing this issue is of great importance because basically, you will not be able to download anything until you have fixed it. I have no idea how this error is created but I do know that Nokia should release a fix for it soon as it can be annoying and for computer novices, a nightmare. The file you will need to be looking for to solve this issue is a hidden file so you will need to follow my exact steps to solve the issue:
Windows XP
- Uninstall Nokia Music completely
- The file you will need to locate is called ‘MDataStore.db3′ so keep that in mind
- Go to the search option
- Choose for files and folders
- Choose all files and folders
- More advanced options
- Search hidden files and folders
- Enter ‘MDataStore.db3′ in the ‘All or part of the file name’ box.
- Delete or rename the file that you have found
- Re-install Nokia Music and all should be fine.
Windows Vista
- Uninstall Nokia Music completely
- The file you will need to locate is called ‘
MDataStore.db3′ so keep that in mind - Click on the start button
- In the search field, write ‘AppData’
- Goto ‘Local’
- Then ‘Nokia’
- Then ‘Nokia Data Store’
- Then ‘Database’
- Delete or rename the file ‘MDataStore.db3′ (I personally deleted it)
- Now attempt to reinstall Nokia Music and all should be fine.
I hope this helps solves your issues with Nokia Music. Please let us know in the comments if this has solved your issue or if you still need help.

Maybe your system is different, I can’t be certain that it is the same so just try searching for the ‘AppData’ and it should come up as a folder and the ‘MDataStore.db3′ file is in there.
