Yesterday Apple announced the long awaited follow up to their iPhone 3G. The iPhone 3G S was revealed at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in California, putting to bed all the rumours that had been flying about as to what features the new device would have.

Well after a brilliant Keynote and the announcements of the new additions to the current iPhone 3G it is sure to get many would-be N97 fans to convert to the shiny gloss of Apple.

Whats more interesting is the release date of the iPhone. Unlike the last couple of years where we have seen July releases this years device seems to have been pushed forward to compete with the N97 and Palm Pre. June 19th sounds rather familiar doesn’t it?

Well this may be a very strategically clever plan by Apple as the iPhone 3G S (S standing for Speed) is going to be released to the public on the same day as the Nokia N97.

So the question is… Which device will you be going for? N97, iPhone, or Palm Pre?

I’ll post my personal opinion along with my reasons for this decision later on today but for now, let us know which device you are going to be diving into your wallets for.

    If I was buying a phone… N97 of course.

    iPhone was always an overpriced, underpowered phone.

    I mean, they can’t even send MMS, Record Video, Copy/paste etc, they can when they update to the iPhoneOS 3.0 or by buying the new 3GS but that technology is on phone that I bought about 5 years ago that cost me 100€, the iPhone just a year ago cost 500€ and couldn’t do those simple tasks.

    Any phone over 200€ is better (spec/feature wise) than the iPhone 3GS, so the N97 is Light Years ahead of the iPhone 3GS or any iPhone to come in the next 5 years :P

    They seem to take the style of the iPhone and put a price on it. The tech specs don’t mean anything in the Apple game sometimes.
