If you didn’t notice by our constant tweeting yesterday and also our posts from yesterdays visit to Regent Street in London, you would have noticed that I got a Nokia 5800 with the ‘Comes with Music’ service free for a whole year. I got the device for half price after I handed in an old mp3 player and an old phone. I didn’t register my ‘CwM’ service yesterday as I was working, but this morning I started up my new phone and my laptop and got stuck in to finding out how this service was going to be. Check out my latest video where I look at the service. Read a bit more about the service after the break.
The quality of the video was significantly reduced when it was converted to MPEG4, sorry about that.
You really do get access to millions of tracks for your phone and computer. Register your ‘Comes with Music’ code and you will be downloading within minutes.
Pros:
- Music can be downloaded via PC and easily transfered to phone
- Music can be downloaded directly to phone
- Easy navigation
- A wide variety of popular songs
- Good search function
- Integrated preview clips (no downloading previews)
- Quick downloads of songs
- Collapsable tabs for each song when viewing album so you can download individual track
- Download complete albums very quickly
- Songs properly tagged and album art always attached
- Easy to set up, registration is quick
- Nokia Music Store recognises when you’re connected via WiFi or your providers internet service so it does not allow you to use all your data by playing the previews or downloading too many songs.
Cons:
- Page sometimes does not load to download a song
- Licence fails be be acquired even though you download previous song perfectly (sometimes)
Hope this gives you an insight in to the Nokia Music Store and ‘Comes with Music’ service.

Looks very cool!
It’s a bummer that CwM isn’t working (hoping: yet) in israel.
It is not that I’m not pleased with my 5800, but there are tons of songs there that i would love to download.
BTW: What theme are you using? it’s a nice one.
There are a lot of songs to download. I think I will need to upgrade to a 16GB card soon! The theme I am using is Mono by Pizero. We wrote about it a while back, you can view it here.

It is a brilliant phone. It’s well within a lot of peoples price range also if they wish to buy on Pay as you Go. Excellent smartphone.
