Here is the news we’ve all been waiting for and it has came to us straight from the Nokia flagship store in Regent Street, London. On our visit today we enquired about the Ovi Store and its release. Expecting the reply to be that it would be sometime in May we were surprised when a Nokia source confirmed that the Ovi Store will be released in the middle of June. We were even more surprised when the source informed us of the release date for the upcoming N97.  The Nokia representative confimed the Finnish giants latest, and most highly anticipated device would be hitting the shelves on the June 19th 2009.

Apparently the Ovi Store application will be available for other devices to download and install around the same time as this, putting a halt to earlier rumours that the companies rival to Apple’s “App Store” would be coming the end of May.

So, there you have it, both the Nokia N97 and the Ovi Store are heading to our pockets in the UK on the 19th of June 2009. In all fairness to Nokia, it does make sense to launch the Ovi App store alongside their latest flagship N97 device. This will definately make sure they both hit the market with a bang.

This news therefore means the wait for both the N97 and Ovi Store is only a mere 28 days (4 weeks) away. Excited yet? We are!
