Another mobile has been launched by Nokia today and with this comes the 6600i slide which offers new features to the previous version, just the 6600. This phone might just have an ‘i’ next to the number but it has new features that push the older one to the side. The 6600i offers new camera features mainly where users will see the quality of their photos increase dramatically as there is now a 5 megapixel camera. Read more after the break about this phone.

Before we see what this new model holds, here is a link to the old version’s specifications. The new 6600i has a new steel finish that indeed looks very shiny and new. The 6600i will ship at around 200 euros which isn’t the most expensive of phones and will start to move in the third quarter of 2009. The new model will has an upgraded outerscreen that you are now able to touch and see if you have any new updates on your phone. The 6600i comes with a 1GB microSD card in the box and the phone can be upgraded to have 16GB of memory to store all your songs and videos. There is an upgrade in the tools that you get with the phone also, in the box you will now get a data cable and a wired stereo headset. The phone runs on Symbian S40 and will ready to run apps coming in the new Ovi store, but the phone is not a smartphone like the 5800 so we are guessing that the choice will be fairly limited to what you place on the phone. The phone will be available in black and silver.
