One of the biggest annoyances I have with S60V3 is that there is no option to have a fullscreen wallpaper. My old N73 used to fit the picture in the middle of the screen leaving about 2/3’s of the homescreen uncovered, whereas my N82 used to set the wallpaper to cover most of the screen other than the top and bottom bars (demonstrated below).
I mean come on Nokia, it surely isn’t that hard to do. Every other phone manufacturer allows proper full screen wallpapers on their devices so why don’t you? Nokia did get it right with S60 5th edition as you can have a full 360×640 wallpaper now which is great for displaying images of loved ones or friends.
Third edition has still been left behind though, untill now. After a friend came to me asking for help on this issue I spent a short time trawling through various web pages untill I finally found something. Free FSWP v1.01 is the answer to all you 3rd edition owners wallpaper woes. With this application you can easily apply full screen wallpapers to your device (example below).
The app works with all popular S60V3 phones such as the N73, N82 and N95. However isn’t compatible with FP2 devices such as te N78 and N96.
